Watford Liberal Democrat Councillor Rabi Martins who sits on the planning and licensing committee, stated he was very unhappy regarding the proposal to create a lap-dancing club. From John J. D'Souza (Toronto): At the AGM of the G.O.A. Toronto on April 28, Roque Barreto was elected unopposed to the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Association. He was the first Chairman of the Association when it was founded 32 years ago. Outgoing Chairman is Neves Menezes.

Curry Platter with its slow-cooked lamb, Mangalore prawns, Goan chicken and baby aubergines in yoghurt served in silver casseroles on a crescent-shaped tray.
