Clearly, the seas around Goa are too attractive for many people to throw all concerns about danger to the winds. Indeed, during the monsoons, the waters are simply pretty treacherous. Yet, each year, hundreds die unnecessarily when the warnings not to enter the waters are all around. It would be helpful to discover what more can be done, but the article below (even if geared more to the west) will hopefully go some way in reducing the death toll on Goa's beautiful beaches.
