born in Goa in 1943 and studied in the UK at Ravensbourne College, Kent and City
University, London Her unusual and varied carrier in the communications
field expanded into 10 countries (6 in Asia and 3 in Africa and UK) and that ranged
from an award winner designer, to TV documentary making, to university lecturer
in UK, to working as an interpreter for UK asylum seekers and Director of the
Asia Regional programme of Panos Institute in the 90s. Now retired, she
lives in London and has turned her attention to the impact of mining on the environment
in Goa as well as Campaigns for the prevention of climate change. 1047 words.
