Oct. 2009: Overseas Pensioner. "Joaquim Elias Lobo (ex-Nairobi) celebrated his 100th birthday on 18th August 2009. Locomotive driver with E.A.R. & H 1929-1956. Retired early on medical grounds in 1954 as a result of a Mau Mau incident. He then opened the NEW EASTLEIGH BAR in Nairobi, until he returned to his homeland in Goa in 1971. Now at House No.654, Bodiem, P.O. Tivim, Bardez Goa, 403502, India. Mind and faculties still quite sharp. He sends his greetings to any younger colleagues who may kindly remember him." Two women arrested in Goa serial killing case
19 Oct: Times of India. Goa police on Monday arrested two women for their alleged their involvement in the killing of four young women three of whom were burnt to destroy the evidence.
