| There’s good news and bad news from Goa | ||

The good news is that the beaches are clean ... the bad news is that they’re being colonised by hordes of Russians of the kind that gave Britain a bad name on the Costas in the Eighties…We spent our last evening at a beach shack restaurant … My wife and I didn’t speak much. Mr. Hyde, a career diplomat who has previously served in Armenia, Saudi Arabia, France and Bermuda, plans to visit Goa and Jamnagar to see if he can find his extended family members.
