| Death: Alex Gonsalves 4 Feb: Gulf Times (Qatar). Alex Gonsalves, a former resident of Qatar died in his native Goa on February 1. Gonsalves had come to Qatar in 1980 to work for Qatar Navigation as a marine air conditioning and refrigeration technician. In 1990, he launched his own refrigeration business.
