20 Feb: Herald. By Dolcy D'Cruz. Henry Pinto and Eusebio D'Souza (photo) were childhood pals in Nairobi. Henry moved to the UK and Eusebio to Canada. Both have gone through bypass surgeries and at 72, decided to team up and drive overland from UK to Australia. They were interviewed this week whilst enroute in Goa. In its first concrete action against foreign nationals purchasing properties in Goa in violation of existing rules, the Enforcement Directorate has confiscated a huge property owned by a Swiss national. Sources said that the foreigner, Thommen, purchased a 10,000 sq ft property and bungalow in Anjuna in 2003 for Rs 4 lakh … For full text, click here.

Savio Sequeira: ‘Theatre should happen all 365 days’

One such person is Dr Savio Sequeira who after retirement is juggling between Dublin and Goa in order to promote art and theatre … “My father was a violinist and mother was a vocalist so we had art in our family. Also the fact that I was born and brought up in Nairobi exposed me to theatre right from my school days…” he elaborates… 594 words.
