16 Jul: Tampa, Florida. BELLA FERNANDES. (nee Castelino; ex- Mombasa, Nairobi, New York). Survivors include her husband, C. Neri Fernandes (ex Goa, Bombay, New York); her children Douglas/Maria Do Ceu Fernandes; Deirdre/ Benjamin Fernandes; five grandchildren, Michelle, Danielle, Matthew, Jordan and Paige; her brother, John/Judy Castelino; her sister, Greta Carvalho and a sister in law, Ermelinda Castelino. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Castelino.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 am Mon. July 19 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Boulevard, Sun City Center, Florida. In lieu of flowers donation maybe made in her name to Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 101 Ray Watson Drive, Sun City Center, Florida 33573. Condolences to neribella2405@gmail.com

Who The Bleep Cares About My Book Launch?

You are cordially invited to a pre-launch toasting of my book, Into The Diaspora Wilderness, 1:30 pm on 25th July, 2010 at the Goan Voice stall, UK Goan Festival, 2010.

There will be a few words by Mr Mervyn Maciel, author of Bwana Karani, on the Pivotal Role of Goans in the East African Civil Service & Dr Cornel DaCosta, Professor of Education, Florida State University, London On A Goan In The Sixties, UK.

The formal launch of the book will take place at 1:50 pm by Goan Association President, Flavio Gracias. Also, Draw of the Competition. Followed by Book signing and post launch banter at the GoanVoice stall.

Copies of the book will be sold at a special festival rate of £8.00.
