| Man and boy guilty of murdering Tony Fernandes | |||

A 16-year-old boy and his 27-year-old friend, Darren Tyrone Liston (photo left) have been found guilty of murdering Anthony Fernandes… 43-year-old Paul Maddix (photo right) had pleaded guilty. Detective Inspector Dave Wills said: “Anthony Fernandes had in the past kindly welcomed Darren Liston into his home… “I hope that today’s verdict brings some comfort to Mr Fernandes’ family who have acted with such dignity throughout this tragic experience.” All three will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on June 4. 422 words + 2 photos. | |||

8 May: Toronto. FR. LUIS GONZAGA D'ARAUJO. (Aged 85; Born Loutulim, Goa; ex-Angola
and Portugal). Visitation on Tuesday May 11, 2010 from 7 to 10 pm at the Church
of St Mary of the Angels at 1481 Dufferin Street, Toronto where he served as pastor
for 17 years before retirement. Funeral mass at the same church the following
morning at 11 followed by interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street,
Richmond Hill. Thanks and appreciation are due to the Scarborough Retirement Centre,
the Toronto Catholic Diocesan authorities, Fr Nedson Gomes and the Paul O'Connor
