Swindon: Teen admits role in assault on youngster that led to viral video

25 Jun: Swindon Advertiser. A 13-YEAR-old boy has admitted his role in an assault on a teenager in West Swindon which was filmed and went viral after being uploaded to Facebook. The video, which was posted on the social media site by one of the teenage attackers and was viewed more than 55,000 times shows the victim being surrounded by youths who demand he kiss the shoe of the 13-year-old. One of the attackers punches the boy to the face before kicking him and spitting at him while he is on the ground… On Tuesday at Swindon Youth Court, the 13-year-old was given a nine-month referral order with the Swindon youth offending team, as well as being ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £85… he is now due to be sentenced on June 30 for all matters.  click here

Amidst opposition, Monserrate meets Parrikar over induction in Goa cabinet
26 Jun: Times of India. Following strong opposition within the BJP over his induction into the Laxmikant Parsekar cabinet in Goa, St Cruz MLA Atanasio 'Babush' Monserrate, who is an unattached member after he was recently expelled from the Congress, met defence minister Manohar Parrikar in Delhi on Thursday. Though Monserrate denied any talks with Parrikar of his likely induction into the cabinet, BJP sources said the meeting between Monserrate and Parrikar broached on the possible portfolios which could be allotted to the Taleigao 'strongman'.
