Alina Saldanha quits as MLA, joins AAP

17 Dec: Herald. Former Minister Alina Saldanha resigned as MLA and joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday… On Thursday morning, Alina surprised BJP leaders by submitting her resignation as MLA and from the primary membership of the party and later flew to Delhi and joined AAP. Saldanha was admitted in AAP in the presence of AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Saldanha is likely to contest the 2022 Assembly elections on the AAP ticket from Cortalim constituency, which she has represented for two terms. After submitting her resignation as MLA, Saldanha said that the BJP had forgotten its core principles…  click here

Boozin’ All The Way: Goa Edition

16 Dec. Mans World. By Joanna Lobo. Goa has emerged as the destination of choice for entrepreneurs interested in crafting new liquor brands. We find out why. Once upon a time, taverns in Goa were where people got together to discuss local sports, village gossip, and down a shot of that preferred Goan drink, feni. Today, Goan taverns still function, but many have renovated themselves into hip bars with new music, warm vibes, live music, and fun events. The biggest change, though, has been in the liquor cabinet. There are ‘local’ drinks but they aren’t feni. They claim to be small batch and craft. He also comes face to face with a sex trafficker who confesses to many shocking acts that leave the presenter and his team stunned.
