On 11 Mar 2002, The Criminal Cases Review Commission referred the conviction of Mr Gary Reynolds to the Court of Appeal. He was convicted at the Central Criminal Court, in 1987 of the murder of Miss Anita De Souza. From The Guardian 6 Nov 1987.: Judge John Hazan sentenced Gary Reynolds to life imprisonment for bludgeoning Miss Anita De Souza, aged 28, to death with a hammer in the shop where they worked. Reynolds worked with the 'bubbly and friendly' Miss De Souza at a chemist's in Bow, east London.

Report on the vintage car parade in Dubai, 8 Mar. "Old is indeed gold...These cars are ready to roll again and are in tip-top condition," said Joseph de Cruz, who drove his 1962 Jaguar E-type. Goan pianist Andrea Vaz, of the Royal Northern College of Music will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy at St Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Durham, on Wednesday, March 20, from 1pm to 1.50pm. Admission costs £4, and refreshments will be available from noon. The Northern Echo, 8 Mar.

The East African (Kenya), Mar. 11, carried a feature article with the headline: Saude George at 69: 'Angry Young Man of Kenyan Sport' Looks Back. He is writing a book on the history of the Olympic movement in Kenya. Twenty years ago he wrote another book, Our Life and Times in Kenya, to mark the Goan Institute's Platinum Jubilee. He rubbed shoulders with writers such as Pio Gama Pinto and Jawaharlal "Joe" Rodrigues, who later became managing editor of the Daily Nation. Pio Gama Pinto was a good athlete and "we belonged to the same Goan clubs." He was president of the Goan Institute and the Goan Sports Association of Kenya for more than 20 years. George represented Kenya twice in the Olympic Games at hockey in 1960 and 1964.

She was born in Worcester, England, in 1972, moved with her mother and brother to Goa, at age 5. It was in this tropical paradise, long a magnet for party people, that Domino found trance music… Domino played at her first party in Goa when she was about 15.
