Tanya Pinto Helps Needy Children in India's Slums |

the slums. It was started in 2005 by one young woman, Tanya Pinto, from Texas
who was born in India
She was working in an advertising company in Dallas
when she decided to go visit India and start the charity
she has been able
to feed children, support orphanages and sponsor some children's education. 547

6 Jul: Khaleej Times (UAE). A Dubai musician has survived an "absolutely
terrifying" knifepoint robbery by six thugs while on holiday in South Africa.
Glenn Perry, who founded the Dubai Music School in 1980, was visiting Johannesburg
as part of his ongoing mission to help impoverished youngsters from the Soweto
township
he escaped unharmed by managing to jump onto a passing minibus
Perry is currently recording a jazz tribute album in New York to commemorate his
mother, who died three months ago
