Video: Julian Menezes, alleged victim of Montreal police officer, speaks out


12 Oct: CTV Montreal. Stefanie Trudeau, a Montreal police officer was suspended Thursday by Montreal police after video of a violent arrest she made earlier this month appeared on television. Julian Menezes, 31, is a part-time lecturer at McGill University says he encountered Constable Trudeau last May… he offered to be a witness in another incident involving Trudeau and he was thrown to the ground and arrested… he received a $156 ticket for not co-operating with police, which he is fighting. Bird-hit Air India flight flight takes off 3 hours late
18 Oct: Times of India. An Air India flight on Wednesday suffered bird-hit damage. Aviation sources said, "Miraculously, the hit occurred seconds before the flight could take off at the Dabolim airport." … 15 bird-hits have been reported in September. This was the official figure and others went unreported… if there is any causality due to a bird hit, a criminal offence would be registered against the authorities responsible for the disposal of garbage in the areas close to the airport…  click here
